WELL OFF THEY GO
My first driver
Off they go

The new fashion statement

Well, I am getting older by the second. I sent my first born off to school today driving my vehicle. He has had his license for some time, but had to wait until November 14th to offically drive without an adult. I sent his middle brother with him. They left at 8:15. He took Taylor to school and texted me at 8:45 to let me know that he was safe and sound at school. He is to call me the minute he leaves school. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get home depending on traffic. He has always called me before he left school from football practice so this is nothing new. Can't wait to talk to him to see how it was.

The other picture is of Miss Talicee as usual. I had to go to ToyRUs for one me Christmas present and happen to see things on sale. If you know me, I buy NOTHING, unless it is on sale. This is just one of the fines I found. The hat is a watermelon hat. She just loves hats. I don't know if you can see her bathing suit. It is red, white and blue. Underneath is her pj's. I guess this is her fashion statement. She just had to try on everything.

If you are wondering, yes I cried this morning when Tyler drove off. I was a nervous wreck. I said a special prayer for him. God is the almighty and will keep him safe.

Oh my!! My oldest just turned 16 and will be doing the same soon. I'm so glad that you shared that you cried and said a prayer when he left because I think I'll be doing the exact same thing. I still can't believe I'm old enough to have a son who drives!!

It is tougher being a parent to a teen than it ever was when they were toddlers! I still cringe when my 18 year old goes some place out of town. Even if he is living on his own...it is hard NOT to worry about them. Now, my 16 year old is taking drivers ed and I am on edge again. He is talking about wanting a car next!! Next thing you know Lilly is going to be saying...Momma give me the keys it's my turn..because we all know how fast time flies!

Maybe in those years to come we can swap stories about Talicee and Lilly and their first driving experiences???

You're not getting older - they are just catching up to you!! Just wait until one of them is married!!! Our oldest has already celebrated a first wedding anniversary! Time flies! Hold on to Miss Talicee, she will be behind the wheel before you know it.

Love,
Regina
