It started very early this morning. We had to be at the hospital no later than 7:15. We arrive about 7:00. There were already people having surgery when we arrived. We checked in and waited to be called. Trevor was a little nervous. I could tell by the look on his face. After about 20 minutes we were called back. Randy and I went back with him. They began to prep him for surgery. He made fun of the girl dress he had to wear. After about another 30 minutes, they came and took him into surgery. Randy went back with him. ( I did it the first time and just could not take it again). I went to the lobby and worked on some business. About 10 minutes later, Randy came back out and he said that he was fine.
Dr. Chen came out about 30 minutes later and let us know he was done and what had been found. Trevor had an earache on Monday. So we doctored that so that he could have surgery. Dr. Chen found that he had 2 ear infections. One ear drum was ready to burst. I guess this is why his ear was hurting. We never have earaches. He let us know that the tubes where in and that the canals were open now due to the tubes. He is praying that the tubes will make the canal open up this time.
The nurse then came and got us as he was in recovery. Trevor did not look good. He was very pale and sad looking. He was in pain. After a while, he got sick. Poor thing. Then in about 30 minutes after getting sick, he was ready to go home.
Trevor had not had anything to eat, so we stopped and got him a little something. Still was not sure that he would not get sick again. When we arrived home, MawMaw and PawPaw were waiting on Trevor. They had come down to watch Talicee while we went to surgery. Trevor was excited to see them. PawPaw and Trevor then went to watch the tractors tear down the asphalt plant below our house. They just sat in the car. After a long nap this afternoon, Trevor is feeling better. His ears are bleeding and hurting, but we are to expect that. I am so glad this is over. This surgery was a little harder on him than the last one.
Pray that this will work and his canals will open up soon. It breaks my heart to see my child go through this.

I'm so glad to hear that he is doing better. What a brave little soldier! I can't imagine how hard it must be to see your baby going through something like that. I think I'd be a big blubbering baby! hahahahaha Take care!

So sorry to read that Trevor had to have surgery but glad that things went well. I can't imagine having an ear drum about ready to burst. That must be so painful.
Lets hope and pray that the canals will be open this time. :0)
I am glad the surgery went well, and will pray he is feeling much better today, and that the tubes will work to keep him from any further loss of hearing!
Love,
Regina
