2007 IN REVIEW
FIRST CHRISTMAS WITH MISS TALICEE

JANUARY
Randy and I celebrated out 17th wedding anniversary. A very slow month for us. We have had Miss Talicee for 6 months now. She was not walking, just monkey crawling this month. Maybe one day she will walk. Still cutting our first teeth.

1ST VALENTINES DAY

FEBRUARY

Taylor turned 13 this month. We gave him a surprise party. He had no idea we were going to do this. Miss Talicee burned her hand on my curling iron. It was my faught. We got new floors in the den, stairs and hallway. Boy did we need it. First snow of the season. Miss Talicee was not reall excited about it. She also celebrated her 1st Valentine's Day. Miss Talicee got a new carseat. She went from the infant seat to a big girl carseat. She has loved every minute of this. We also celebrated our 1st Chinese New Year. She is the reason for celebrating.

The biggest scare of my lifetime. Miss Talicee had a febrile seizure. This is the most scarest thing a parent can go through. She had 3 before they finally quit. After staying the in hospital for a day, she finally came home and rested more. After about 3 days, she was on the mend. Prayer was the only thing that got me through this situation. I NEVER want anyone to have to go through this.

1ST ST. PADDY'S DAY

MARCH

March brings us unprediable weather. So who knows what each day will be like. Miss Talicee started walking on the 17th of March. She was almost 18 months old. All of my children were late walkers. She also started her first Kinder Musik class. She was not too sure about it. I do have to say after a very scarey February, Miss Talicee is on the mend.

1ST EASTER WITH MISS TALICEE

APRIL

April brought sadness to the state of Virginia. Since Randy graduated from VA. Tech, we were married there and I lived so close, this really hit home. 33 students died on April 16th. A very sad day. It is a day we will never forget. Miss Talicee celebrated her 1st Easter. She was not sure about it. Mr. Trevor turn 8 years old this month. Spring has sprung, so baseball season is in full swing. It was a very busy month for us.

1ST MOTHER'S DAY WITH MISS TALICEE

MAY

This month brought many memories back. A year ago on the 26th, Miss Talicee Faith LiLi Landes entered our hearts. This was the day that we say her for the first time. God had her all picked out for us. As I sat here remembering all of th good memories, I still cry. I asked and God provided. This was my first Mother's Day with my daughter. We even went to our first Mother/Daughter banquet. God is so good.

1ST FAMILY VACATION

JUNE

June brought the close of the school year. The boys were excited to get out of school. Tyler got his class ring. We attended the ceremony. I really like his class ring. Baseball is ending for Taylor and Trevor. Miss Talicee and I headed to Denver for our CCAI reunion. We meet many cyber friends and had dinner and play time with one of our friends that we traveled with. Miss Talicee and I had a great time. She was a great traveler. I also remembered this time last year when we were waiting to finally travel to China to get our angel. We took our first family vacation together. We arrived on Sunday, and I sprained (broke) my ankle on Monday. Some vacation. Even though I was hurt, we had a great first family vacation. It was also Randy's first Father's day with his new daughter.

MISS TALICEE ENJOYING HER COOL WHIP

JULY

July brought us the end of all of our first holidays with Miss Talicee. July 4th was her last first holiday. Remember we were in China last year during the 4th. July 10th was our Forever Family Day. We have had Miss Talicee for 1 year. We gave her a party with all of her little friends. She got a special bracelet for the occassion. Wow, I can't believe that it has already been a year. July 16th was Tyler's 16th birthday. We took him to Frank Rowland's for dinner. This is a very nice place. He really enjoyed himself. Got our readoption papers. We now can file for the one last piece of paper we need. Her VA birth certificate. Miss Talicee got her nails done by the professionals. I also took a much need break. I enjoyed a nice relaxing break at my annual business conference (The Bee). Being with my branch was great.

JUST CHILLIN
AUGUST

Well August brings the end of summer. The kids filled their last days with pool fun and relaxation. Tyler started football practice, so he is gone most of the tme. Another major appliance went out this month. The dishwasher had a recall on it. I never pay attention to these things. Well, I guess I should have. Mine caught on fire. Have to have a dishwasher. So off we went to buy a dishwasher. We had a get together with our Families With Chinese Children. We had a pool party this time. Trevor and Miss Talicee loved it. They are my waterdogs. School also started this month. Tyler is in the 11th, Taylor is in the 8th and Trevor is in the 2nd. Time is flying. Oh yea, we had a cow in the yard. No farm, but a cow. Go figure.

THE LANDES FAMILY

SEPTEMBER

Boy this was one of our busiest months. I found out that my badly sprained ankle was broken. It had been broken from the beginning. Oh well, at least I know now. We helped welcome home one of our newest Chinese members. Miss Emma came home to her forever family this month. Miss Talicee began her Kinder Musik classes again. We had our family pictures made. I had to keep this quiet because it was a Christmas Present. Tyler went to Homecoming with Lindsay. Boy, how they grow.

HALLOWEEN 07

OCTOBER

Miss Talicee turned 2. Oh, how time flys. She has not gained any weight and is still very small. She continues to cut more teeth. We had a get together at our house for our local group of Families with Chinese children. We did the corn maze and then had food at our house. It was a good time had by all. When kids leaving crying because they do not want to leave, then it was a good party. Celebrated Halloween with many parties and good candy.

MY BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN
NOVEMBER

Tyler got his driver's license. Woe unto me. I got my cast off finally after 6 months of pain. Spent the holidays with family.

CHRISTMAS 2007

DECEMBER

December brought the holidays and surgery to our family. Trevor had tubes put back into his ears on Dec. 13th. Still working on the hearing problem. Spend the holidays with family and friends. Just enjoyed spending time together with the family. We had major appliance problems this month.

2008 will be a great year. we have a lot of things that will happen this year. Many holidays to celebrate, many birthdays, many more first for Miss Talicee. Our year has started off great. I pray that it ends great. Thanks for following our journey. It sure has been a journey. It changes everyday. Nothing is boring around the Landes house.

What a great idea to do a year in review. Talicee has grown so much in the past year, and it looks like you had a great 2007. Happy new year.

Okay what is the trick to getting the whole family in one place for a picture? I love your family picture taken I guess in July or August of last year? Everyone looks so happy. Thanks for the look back at your year. I love watching all of your family change but especially Talicee.
