UPDATED: THIS IS THE FAMILY'S WEBSITE:
PLEASE PRAY FOR THE CHINA EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS AND ALSO FOR THE STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN FAMILY
As I checked my e-mail this morning, I got an e-mail from a cyber friend about some very sad news. Steven Curtis Chapman's, Christian singer, daughter was killed last night. She was only 5 years old. Her brother, who is 16, accidently ran over her in their driveway. This is so sad. Maria is adopted from China. So this is hitting home. My son is also 16. I can't imagine the pain they are suffering. God is with them and will see them through. God had a reason of why he needed Maria yesterday. One day her brother will know this reason. Just say a special pray for them and for their son.

While you are praying, say a prayer for the Chinese people affected by the earthquake. I saw a picture in our paper yesterday of a nurse holding a 2/3 month old baby. He/She was an orphan. I wished I could just go over there and just help in some way. My heart is breaking for all of the victims. Once you visit this country, you will know what a horrible impact something like this causes them. Just pray for a speedy transition to their new life.
When things seem to be going so good, God lets us know that he is in control. God is the only one that knows the answer to why. I trust in him and he will see that everything is perfect in his world. Hug your children a little tighter today and everyday. No one ever knows when God will choose an angel to be with him.

You are so right. Our hearts just break to see the children in China devastated by the earthquake and trauma. I read an article in the paper today talking about Chinese people eager to adopt the orphans. Hopefully that takes place soon. Also it is heartbreaking to hear about the Chapmans. Such a sad thing. You are right that we need to count every minute as precious. You never know how long and how soon we won't be able to be with those we love with all our hearts!
