CALLING IT A DAY

It rained for 14 hours today. Everything is soaked. No baseball practice tonight. Probably no baseball game tomorrow. Oh, well there has been plenty of excitement around here today.

I cleaned house today. You know how you feel when you step back and look at what you have accomplished. I was having that feeling. Everything was going good. All laundry done, dinner planned and clothes ironed for the weekend. Put Miss Talicee down for a nap. Thought I would just veg for a while while she slept. Picked up Trevor from the bus. Came in and it all began. My friend called while I was working out. She told me about a family that has to have their family in the spotlight all of the time. Poor children. Then it happened. I went upstairs to check on Miss Talicee. What did I find?

Conditioner empty

Shampoo empty

Detangler empty
Bubble bath empty

Clorox wipes everywhere

Lipgloss on the mirror

Ok, get the drift. Yes, I was loosing it really fast. Put her in the corner for time out while I cleaned up again that day.

It gets better.

I was working on supper and noticed that she was missing. At this point I told her that she was not going to be out of my sight the rest of the day. I went upstairs again and you will never guess what I found. Ready for this one?

The curtains where on the floor and the rod was laying on the doll bed. Yes, she was swinging on the curtains and it came out of the studs in the wall. Really loosing it. Now quit laughing.

Back to the corner again. This time where I could watch her. While I was doing something else, she got into the cherries that we just picked off our tree. Now these are very juicey. Yes you guessed it, red everywhere. I give up. White flag is flying.

She is going to be the death of me. Now you can laugh at me. I wanted a girl. My boys did not do this stuff.

Wow! I will say though that my boys made bigger and more messes than that! Trust me! It is not just a girl thing! But do feel your frustration, it is hard. Not only that but your emotions are running amuck anyway with one of the birdies leaving the nest. I hope things will calm down and you can find some peace.
