BITTER SWEET END TO AN ERA

Friday night was the end of the Senior year of football. What a game it was. When we left for the game, we just knew it was going to be a blow out. We were playing the best team in our district. This team had not lost a game yet. We had lost everyone but one. So it was going to be a quick night.

Well, who would have thunk. We scored first, then a tie. It went all the way to the end in a tie. We kept wondering where we got these kids. They played the best that we had seen all year. We went into overtime with this team. 3 inches and we would have beat this team. Our players do not have anything to hang their heads about. Technically, they out played this team, but the score, by one point, did not show it.

It is not about winning, but how you handle the lost. These boys handled the lose like winners. So proud of the team and the seniors. All of the Seniors got to play and had a good time at it. Very sad at the end when you see your own child cry. I think he finally realizes that his Senior year of high school is coming to an end very fast.

We could not be any prouder of our Senior. Just wished it would slow down a little bit. #2 you are #1 in our book.
