JUNE 9, 2005:
Yesterday a year ago our dossier was logged into China (LID). This is a very important date. This is the date that the CCAA goes by when selecting our babies. Two weeks before June 9, 2006, we got our referral (May 26, 2006). It has been 11 1/2 months since we were logged in. I can't believe that we have a picture of our little girl and currently waiting on our TA's. TA's are travel announcements. CCAI will then fax the US Consultant to get an appointment for us to officially adopt Talicee into our family and make her a US citizen. Everything works backwards from the Consultant appointment. So come on TA's so that we can travel and get Talicee.
We received our Visas yesterday. I was a surprise. I did not think that we would get them until Monday at the earliest. I was really surprised with them. I thought they would be just like our passports in a little booklet. Actually, it is a peel and stick stamp on a page in our passport. This is why you have to send your real passport.
We are packed and ready to go except for a few last minute things. We need a few more meds and Cheerios. Can't leave home without them. I will get them this week. School is now out for the summer and ballgames are just about over. So as a family we can begin to relax until time for travel.
God has done his wonderful work in our adoption. We could not have made everything work out without him. That is why he is our rock and our leader.
