This time last year referrals were coming out for the month of April. We were so close, would we make the cutoff this time? CCAA was known for only doing one day of referrals. Was this going to happen again? We were DTC June 9, 2005. My heart was beating so fast. We knew that we could get a referral and we could not. Rumors stated that there were only a few days. I was still nervous. It has been 10 months waiting since we were DTC. Could it happen in April?
We finally got the news of how far referrals went this month. In the China adoption world, how far referrals go each month is a very big issue. Referrals only went to June 6th. We missed it by 3 days. How heartbreaking. Now another month to wait and see if we would get a referral in May. You never know what the CCAA will do each month.
So we went on for another month of waiting. Another month and no sleep. Will we make it or will we not? This is the question every China adopting parent ask every month.

I know just what you are saying. That month before and "the month" are torture! But now as you look into sweet Miss Talicee's face, it all seems to fade away!
