FAMILIES WITH CHINESE CHILDREN HARVEST PARTY

We had our annual Harvest party this weekend. We had beautiful weather. The food, friends and atmosphere was great. The kids played and played. Randy took the kids on a hayride. When Taylor was a little tike, we used to take a walk on our dirt road. Along the walk we came along these tall, tall weeds. He thought they were Jack and the Beanstalks stalks. We had just read Jack and the Beanstalk. So he got really scared and would not go back that way. Truth be known, he is not real fond of that area now. But anyway, that is what Randy told the kids as to where they were going. After they left, we could hear laughs and screams. They all came back thrilled that they had gone. They loved it.

We had pot luck for dinner. Always nice to share food. Randy built a bond fire and we enjoyed the warmth from it as the kids did smores. I think they just like playing in the fire. I think everyone one had a great time. All of the food was eaten, mess cleaned up and Randy and I were in the bed by 9:00. Can't get much better than that. We love getting together with Miss Talicee's Chinese sisters and brothers. I really want her to have a connection to her heritage.

Our next FCC outing is our Christmas party. Should be a lot of fun too. Enjoy the slide show.
