SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR

As Thanksgiving was approaching this year, I was reflecting on our year in our family. We had no idea that the beginning of 2011 we would not be receiving a regular paycheck. We had no idea that we would have to totally rethink everything in our live.

As the months went by and we wondered how we would pay our bills. God supplied all of our needs. No not the needs I thought we needed, but what He thought we needed. As of Dec. 1st, it has been one year since we have had a regular paycheck. Things did change in our world and will continue to change. We have really have learned how to budget money and spend what we need to spend. Yes, there are times when we could not do what we wanted to. No dinners out, no new clothes, no new toys, but you know what, it did not matter. We are still here and stronger for it.

Randy and I thank God everyday for letting us experience this situation. We realized that we were taking advantage of our lifestyle and this was God's way of showing us that he is in control and we need to rely on him and not ourselves.

With all this said, I am very happy to say that as of Dec. 5th, Randy will begin a full time job for the winter. He will continue to work his part-time job, which he has had since June. He still has his business and will continue working it. Just we will not be getting a salary from it as it was. He has never had a steady job during the winter, his business is a seasonal business, so this will be new to him and our family. But when one door closes another one opens.

Thanks for all of the prayers during the year. Please continue to pray for us. We have learned so much through this and are so thankful for the opportunity to experience it.

I will post pictures this weekend. When you have 3 little ones and 3 after school kids, I do not have a lot of time on the computer. Hopefully, I will get caught up. Visit me on Facebook to see the most up to date pictures for now.

I'm so glad things are going better for you all. More specifically I'm glad you realized the change in yourselves and that you now have a reliance upon God more than ever before. I think we all need that at some point in our lives. Life is all about those lessons we learn. Merry Christmas!
