OUR TRIP TO THE NORTHERN PART OF KAUAI (Monday continued)

After snorkeling in PoiPu Bay, we went to see Spouting Horn. It is a formation in the rocks that has a hole in it. When the waves wash into it and upon it, it spits out water. It reminds me of the part in Fool's Gold where they are in the spout and get sprayed out. This is not the spot, but we have seen many movies scenes while here.

We came back to the resort and got ready. We have a formal dinner tonight with the convention. It is the closing ceremonies. We have to really dress for this event. I think this is why Randy's suitcase is close to 50 pounds.

We decided to head north of the island. We did the west side and loved it. What can the north have for us. Well, stupid questions. After lunch at KFC, we started our adventure. Let me pause here and state something. Everywhere we go there are chickens. Yes, the kind that you eat. They are along side the roads, in the parking lots and at every lookout there is. One funny thing today was we were eating and notice about 5 chickens in the drive through lane at KFC. Wonder if they no that this is not the place to be hanging out. LOL

As you can see in the pictures, we took some great pictures. Since we were on a time limit, we did not have a lot of time to explore much, just ride. What a beautiful island this is. I will have more pictures of what we saw because we explored the northside for another 2 days.

On Tuesday, most of the people with us will be leaving. The conference ends tonight with our dinner. The dinner was great. We had a choose of beef or fish. I do not like fish, so I got beef. It was great. I have found nothing that I do not like except poi here so far.

Tomorrow we go on our plane ride of the island. Not a helicopter, but plane ride. The pilot is a graduate of VT, so we got a discount. Wonder why. I took lots of pictures from the plane.

Enjoy the pictures from today. It will take me a few days to get all of the up.
